Counseling Services

Everyone begins therapy with a “tipping point,” a situation or problem that is getting in the way of their ability to connect with themself, others, and their life. Sometimes we get stuck figuring out how, which is why nothing seems to work.
Therapy addresses how we interpret ourselves, others, and the world, and how we show up as a result.
In our work together, you will learn to identify the various ways your perception is blocking you from living the life you’re trying to achieve. We will do this by challenging your thoughts in a gentle, kind and direct way and implement skills to handle both emotional- and problem-based solving. We will keep thoughts that are accurate and reflective of your reality today and restructure meanings that have been previously harmful to your well-being.
In our initial meeting, we will explore your goals for treatment. Like with medical ailments, mental health also provides evidence-based treatments that are highly effective for various problems, if needed. We will start where you are, what you’re ready to explore, in what setting (individual or group) before moving deeper into treatment. Collaboration is key, and it is there that the foundation to healing and connection grows.
You will be surprised by how much you know about yourself and what will work for you. You drive this change. I am merely a vessel in your journey.
