Something is
in the way.

Not everything — just enough to cost you. Clarity. Performance. The relationship. The family. You've handled harder things than this. Which is exactly why it doesn't make sense that this one isn't moving.

That's where we start.

You are not fragile.
You are not falling apart.

You are someone who operates at a level most people don't understand — and something has gotten in the way of what you're capable of. Kyden Counseling is built for that.

01

The Executive

Performance is slipping and no one can know why. You carry responsibility for outcomes, for people, for a version of yourself that has to show up regardless of what's happening underneath.

02

The Athlete

The mental game has broken down. You've trained every physical variable — and the one thing blocking performance now isn't in the gym. It's in the room no one talks about.

03

The Couple

You built something significant together. You're now tearing each other apart under the weight of it. This is not a communication problem. This is a system under pressure it was never designed to carry.

04

The Family Watching

You're watching someone deteriorate and you don't know what to do. You've tried. You've waited. You know something is wrong and you need someone who can see it clearly — and tell you the truth.

"The people who need the most support are the ones least likely to ask for it — and least likely to find something worth trusting when they do."

73% of executives and founders report shadow burnout — functional on the outside, deteriorating inside. They rarely seek help through standard channels.

77% of high-performing professionals cite fear of career exposure as the primary barrier to traditional therapy. The cost of being seen is too high a risk.

82% of executives reported burnout severe enough to consider major lifestyle or career changes. Most made no move toward clinical support.

No waitlists.
No insurance trail.

Three steps. No intake coordinator. No referral maze. You reach out, we confirm fit, we work.

Schedule & Start

Paperwork sent in advance. Secure telehealth — available anywhere in Texas, on your schedule. No commute. No waiting room. Full session fee at time of service.

03

Work. Move. Done.

The goal is not indefinite therapy. The goal is your highest self — clear, capable, and moving. We identify what's in the way, work through it, and get you there.

Why no insurance
matters.

Insurance requires a formal diagnosis on your permanent medical record and gives third parties access to your records. It restricts what can be addressed and how long you're allowed in the room. Cash-pay removes all of that — your sessions and your situation stay between us.

  • No permanent diagnosis on your medical record. Your records do not leave this practice.
  • No third-party access. No insurance claims. No case reviews. No utilization management.
  • Superbills available. PPO plan holders may submit directly to insurance for out-of-network reimbursement.

Twenty years.
The full range.

Most clinicians specialize in one lane. Crisis. Trauma. Addiction. Couples. Family systems. They pick one and build a practice around it.

That's not how this works.

Twenty years across crisis intervention, trauma, addiction, family systems, marriage and family therapy, and suicide prevention means I've been in the rooms most clinicians read about in textbooks. Combat service means I understand pressure, proximity to collapse, and what it takes to hold the line when everything around you is breaking.

That background doesn't make me better than anyone else. It makes me the right fit for a specific kind of person — the one who needs someone who has actually seen what they're carrying, and isn't going to flinch at it.

Answers before
you reach out.

Do you accept insurance?
No. Kyden Counseling is a private, cash-pay practice. This is a deliberate decision — not a limitation. Insurance requires a diagnosis on your permanent record and gives third parties access to your clinical information. Superbills are available for PPO reimbursement.
Is everything done via telehealth?
Yes. All standard sessions — individual, couples, family, and supervision — are conducted via secure telehealth. The only in-person offering is the $5,000 half-day intensive, available by arrangement.
How many sessions will I need?
There is no predetermined answer. The goal is not indefinite therapy. Some people need a focused series of sessions. Others benefit from longer-term work. This is assessed openly from the start — and you always know where you stand.
Is telehealth as effective as in-person?
For the clinical work done here — yes. Research supports equivalent outcomes for most presenting concerns. For high performers the advantage is real: no commute, no waiting room, complete flexibility around a demanding schedule.
How do I know if this is the right fit?
A brief 15-minute consultation call before the first session — no commitment. The goal is to confirm fit on both sides, not to sell you on starting. If it's not the right match, I'll tell you directly and point you toward someone who is.
What states do you serve?
Texas only. Mack Kyles is licensed in Texas, and telehealth services are available exclusively to clients currently located within the State of Texas — regardless of the city or region.

Availability is limited.
